BenQ Launches New Micro-Portable Palm-Sized Digital Projector

P1 Palm Projector Weighs 1.7 lbs, Offers 300 ANSI Lumens, and is Ideal for Mobile Computing and Gaming Applications

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (September 9, 2005) – BenQ, a leading manufacturer of digital lifestyle devices, today announced the newest addition to the company’s line of award-winning digital projectors, the micro-portable P1 Palm Projector. About the size of the palm of your palm, and weighing only 1.7 pounds, the P1 Palm Projector offers extreme portability for gaming and mobile computer users to transport the unit hassle-free, without having to spend extra time packing up and disassembling a clunky, heavy projector.

The P1 Palm Projector contains a solid feature set that includes VGA native resolution, an ANSI brightness rating of 300 lumens, a 2000:1 contrast ratio, and a 40” to 100” throw distance. The projector is compatible with a variety of video system input/output configurations, including PC, Mac, NTSC, PAL, SECAM and HDTV (with optional cable).

“BenQ continues to demonstrate technological leadership by creating innovative projectors that set a new standard in size for micro-portable projectors,” said Jeff Chen, business division head of projectors for BenQ. “We realize the growing need for small, high-performance projector technology for the mobile professional and on-the-go computer user.”
