City of Industry, CA (Jan. 26, 2004) - BenQ America announced the appointment of Mark Donnelly as its vice president of Sales. Mr. Donnelly joins BenQ from Samsung Electronics America.
Mr. Donnelly has been in the computer industry for more than 20 years, the last 15 in senior sales and management positions. He has been involved with multiple channels of distribution, including National and Specialty Distribution, Retail, Pro-AV, VAR, Fortune 2000 and Government accounts.
During the last 10 years, Mr. Donnelly started the IT retail business for Samsung Electronics' DIT division, bringing its market position to number one in retail LCD sales from 2001 to 2003. While at Samsung, he was able to raise Samsung's display business from number 13 to number 2 in market position.

Prior to Samsung, Mr. Donnelly has worked with Sony Electronics, Librex Computer Systems and Zenith Data Systems. He has a BSBA in Accounting and a Masters of Science in Finance from University of Colorado.
