BenQ Announces New Qreseller™ Program to Support Channel Sales Efforts

New Qreseller™ program designed to provide reseller partners with the competitive advantage to increase sales and profitability.

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif. (May 13, 2002) - BenQ Incorporated, formerly Acer Communications and Multimedia, today introduced its new Qreseller™ channel program specifically designed to heighten the launch of BenQ display products into the channel. This highly creative and innovative reseller program will enhance communications and provide the competitive edge to resellers for increased sales and improved profitability.

BenQ's new multi-tiered Qreseller program will enable resellers to receive up-to-date product and company information including priority customer support, lead referral programs, demo product discounts, integrated sales tools, education and training support and monthly bulletins -- all on a dedicated Web site with secured login. To kick off the program, for a limited time, BenQ will be offering a special introductory promotion featuring special rebates. While supplies last, resellers interested in participating in the BenQ reseller program, may contact one of the following BenQ distributors to receive demo units at 10-to-15 percent off BenQ regular LCD and CRT displays**: Ingram Micro, D&H and SED. Those resellers who participate in this demo unit promotion will be eligible for additional exclusive rebate programs.

"Our goal is to provide our channel partners with additional sales tools and immediate real-time access to our product information to help them expand their business," said Ralph Tang, president of BenQ. "We value our channel partners and believe in strengthening existing relationships while effectively developing new ones. This new Qreseller program is the right vehicle to reach our goal."

According to Tang, the new Qreseller program will initially include BenQ's display division. Subsequent plans include a phased roll-out of the Qreseller program to support other BenQ product lines throughout 2002.

Resellers can register for the new Qreseller program via a dedicated Web site at www.Qreseller.com. The Web site is easy to navigate through and is built with administrative tools that allow the reseller to keep their account information fresh and accurate. Resellers can regularly check the Qreseller Web site to place requests and obtain timely marketing and sales materials. The Qreseller program is designed with three levels: Silver, Gold and Platinum. Each level provides specific and tiered support to resellers ranging from small to medium-size VARs to large system integrators. All levels feature the following program benefits:

  • Reseller toll-free customer service
  • Reseller toll-free technical support
  • Special promotions and rebates
  • Monthly updates/newsletters
  • Online marketing resources
  • Password protected access to the dedicated BenQ www.Qreseller.com Web site

Gold and Platinum resellers participating in the Qreseller program will receive additional program benefits such as marketing collateral, priority customer and technical support. Additionally, Platinum Qresellers will be eligible for on-site sales training and a dedicated logo and link on BenQ's "where to buy" section of the North American BenQ.com Web site.
