COSTA MESA, Calif. — Sept. 15, 2015 — BenQ America Corp., an internationally renowned digital lifestyle solutions provider, today announced that its recently introduced SW2700PT specialty photography monitor and HC1200 color-accurate projector will be featured in the 2015 EyeEm Awards Finalist Exhibition, a highlight of The EyeEm Photography Festival being held on Sept. 18 in Brooklyn, NY.
The 2015 EyeEm Photography Festival is for people revolutionizing photography, technology, and visual communications — bringing together photographers, creative visionaries, and technology leaders to explore the future of photography and its impact on communication, art, and society. Taking center stage at the festival is the 2015 EyeEm Awards Finalist Exhibition, which showcases the works of some of the most outstanding talents from around the world. At the awards ceremony, this year’s winning images will be displayed using BenQ’s HC1200 color-accurate projectors. In addition, the EyeEm Photographer of the Year will be revealed and awarded an SW2700PT monitor.
“With the launch of the SW2700PT purpose-built monitor, we’re looking forward to becoming even more involved with the photography community,” said J.Y. Hu, Vice President, Business Line Management at BenQ America Corp. “The 2015 EyeEm Photography Festival is the perfect venue to display our color-accurate displays and we’re pleased to award the Photographer of the Year with our brand new, high-performance monitor.”
Made specifically for photographers, the new SW2700PT 27-inch IPS panel features QHD resolution, 99% Adobe RGB color space, and BenQ’s Eye-Care and RevolutionEyes™ technologies to provide exceptional visual comfort and performance for any photography project. When combined with the monitor’s calibration settings, black-and-white mode, and the convenience of an external controller, the display ensures complete color accuracy, a simple editing process, and the ability to streamline the photo sharing process.
BenQ’s HC1200 projector is purpose-built to follow the sRGB (standard Red, Green, Blue) industry color standard — a well-known and widely used guideline for color accuracy in smartphones, monitors, cameras, and printers, as well as throughout the Internet. The display combines precise sRGB color accuracy with up to twice as much ANSI contrast as typical LCD projectors and offering incredible color fidelity and consistency. This stunning, crisp contrast accentuates finer details for greater clarity, allowing visuals projected from the HC1200 to virtually jump off the screen.
