BenQ Launches New RP Series Interactive Flat Panel (IFP) for Use in Today’s Interactive Classrooms: RP790

Features include Classroom-Ready Display Size of 79” and UHD 4K Resolution for the Best Viewing Distance, Total Eye-Care Solution, Open Learning Platform, Interactive Software, and many more

Dubai, UAE; April 28, 2015; Advancing its international renown as a human technology provider and interactive flat panel expert in education, BenQ Middle East & Africa  announced the launch of its new RP Series interactive flat panel RP 790 designed for the education market. BenQ’s RP790 79” 4K interactive flat panel helps instructors make the smoothest transition from traditional instruction to interactive learning with 55 PPI for the best viewing distance, touch driver-free design, 10-point multi-touch support, total eye-care solution, and many more features.

It features a classroom-ready display of 1,093 mm in height and 1,847 mm in length; this generous display space quickly and easily replaces existing blackboards, whiteboards and interactive whiteboards. It also comes with a stunning 4K resolution, with a brightness of 430 nits: marking the highest image clarity ever achieved.

“In everything we do, we uphold our dedication to providing the best display hardware possible to maximize interactive learning possibilities," remarks Manish Bakshi, Managing Director, BenQ Middle East and Africa . "Since 2008, we have devoted our R&D resources to providing the best education projector solutions for the education market, and now the same can be said of our new RP Series education interactive flat panel. With our RP Series, we will continue to follow our design philosophy of ‘Inspiring Learning at Your Fingertips,’ thereby simplifying yet enriching every aspect of interactive teaching.”

Total Eye-Care Solution: It incorporates BenQ’s TÜV-certified Flicker-Free Technology (accessible through Classroom Mode) to eliminate flickering at all brightness levels. This safeguards the eye health of teachers and students. In addition, Low Blue Light Technology reduces harmful blue spectrum light emissions, and an anti-glare display minimizes reflections for the sake of more legible text and clearer image display.

4K Resolution: With a stunning 4K resolution, the RP790 boasts a pixel density of 55 PPI (Pixels Per Inch), which is three times the PPI of today’s mainstream interactive whiteboards in the 77” to 79” size range. Every student in class can now enjoy the highest image clarity.

Open Platform: Compatible with the Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome operating systems, the RP Series works seamlessly with a wide range of computing devices – and is touch driver-free.

10-Point Multi-Touch Interactivity: The RP Series opens you to more classroom interaction possibilities with 10-point multi-touch support. Instead of only inviting one or two students to come up to take part in classroom activities, teachers can utilize a wide array of interactive apps to involve more students at once for collaborative work, from tackling a puzzle task to creating artworks and even playing the piano together. So there is never a dull moment in class.

Switch Input Source by Touch: Instead of using a remote control, teachers can easily switch between different input sources by touch. It’s time-saving and hassle-free.

Teacher Friendly Front Bezel Design:
For uninterrupted teaching, BenQ has built several features into the front bezel for quick and easy access.
‧ Hotkeys for Freeze and Blank features, as well as volume and input source control
‧ Multimedia I/O interface that includes every port needed for teaching, from HDMI to Touch USB, media USB and OPS USB ports, and an earphone and microphone jack
‧ Protective cover to keep away curious hands while giving the IFP a stylish look
‧ Multi-touch ports including two USB ports, one set on the front bezel, for connecting up to two devices at the same time
