BenQ acquired ZOWIE in 2015 in order to aggressively lead its eSports offerings with products that deliver true competitive advantages. Following its investment in ZOWIE gear, the company will continue to show its commitment to gamers by providing eSports athletes with premium professional gaming products via the ZOWIE brand. This means all future BenQ gaming-related merchandise will be introduced under the ZOWIE brand name. The eXTREMESLAND ZOWIE Asia CS:GO 2016 will feature, ZOWIE, the brand that represents BenQ’s eSports product line-ups, as the title sponsor and the official monitor provider in the coming tournaments, the competition will cover over 20 countries across Asia-Pacific. Nearly a thousand CS: GO team members are set to take part in the qualifiers from July till August. The qualifiers include both online and/or offline competitions and 16 teams will emerge from these qualifications and battle it out during the Asia Grand Final held at China in September to contend for the prize pool of $100,000. Incidentally, the eXTREMESLAND ZOWIE Asia CS:GO 2016 Middle East Championship local qualifier for Middle East will be held in Dubai at Que Club between 11th till 13th of August.
