BenQ’s regional monitor market share doubles

UAE is the fastest growing market for the company in Q4, 2015 followed by Egypt and Qatar

Dubai, UAE; March 08, 2016– BenQ Middle East & Turkey, the internationally renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations, has reported a strong growth of 4.8 % for the last quarter of 2015 in the Middle East for its monitors compared to the same period for 2014. The best performing market was the UAE where market share increased from 2.06% in Q4, 2014 to 6.52% in Q4, 2015. The second best performing market for BenQ was Egypt as the company’s market share increased from 3.44% in the last quarter of 2014 to 6.68% for the corresponding period in 2015. In Qatar too the company experienced a market share increase of 3.82% from 2% in Q4, 2014.

 

According to Manish Bakshi Managing Director, BenQ Middle East & Turkey,  “We have seen strong growth for our gaming and CAD/CAM monitors. The Middle East region is BenQ’s leading market for gaming monitors globally.  eSports is a huge buzzword right now among the Arab youth and the overall industr qy is growing at a fast rate. We are one of the early entrants who identified the growth potential for gaming monitors in the region, and with our innovative products, we have been able to fulfill the competitive needs of the regional gamers. We also work very closely with gaming cafes in the region providing our latest gaming monitors and sponsoring regional eSports tournaments. We are excited about this market and will continue to introduce improved and high performance monitors in the region.”

 

BenQ’s increase in market share was driven by gaming monitor models that truly enhance player performance, including the 24”BenQ W monitor and the 27”W+. The market share of both models combined together increased from 15% in Q4 2014 to 30% in Q4 2015.

 

Not to mention the market success of BenQ’s XR3501, 35” curved gaming monitor. The XR series is a combination of XL series and the RL series into one devise for a more enjoyable gaming experience.
