Pro Gamers give BenQ monitors the ‘edge’

Pro Gamers give BenQ monitors the ‘edge’

04-04-2012
Sydney Australia, April 2012 : BenQ’s professional gaming monitors, the XL2410T and now the new XL2420T have been judged by the gaming community as one of the most preferred monitors in the world’s biggest gaming tournaments, including DreamHack inSweden, ESL Pro Series held in Germany, ESEA in the US, and GSL in Korea.

BenQ recently provided over 600 professional gaming monitors for all competition arenas and experience booths in the renowned ESL Intel Extreme Masters tournament (IEM) at the 2012 CeBIT show in Hanover, Germany.  Since IEM’s inception in 2006, BenQ has been this prestigious event’s designated monitor sponsor, setting a benchmark for all other brands to follow in the pro gaming category.

Said BenQ Australia’s Chee F. Chung, “IEM is the paramount event for international gamers and therefore needs to provide peripherals and gear of the best performance and quality. Consequently, IEM has selected BenQ’s XL2420T and RL2450HT as their official designated monitors this year.

“After being put to the ultimate test in these world-class tournaments for the whole season, the XL2420T and RL2450HT received recognition from pro gamers that their empowering features did give the gamers a competitive edge to win.  This was attributed to the monitor’s design fine-tuned to deliver the level of control, accuracy, flexibility and enjoyment.

“In fact, CeBIT organisers selected 15 brands from 4000 exhibitors to display their products two days prior to the opening day of the show to dignitaries and media.  BenQ was honoured to be one of the selected brands,” said Chung.

Internationally, sales of BenQ gaming monitors have tripled since the brand’s debut into professional gaming with the launch of the XL2410T a little over a year ago.   Chung explains their success is the result of inviting top-tier professional gamers to join force with their R&D teams in product development to create cutting-edge professional gaming monitors, combined with continuously participating in international gaming tournaments to show support for the gaming community.

BenQ’s second generation XL professional gaming monitor, the XL2420T is now available in Australia, and will soon be followed by the RL series of gaming monitors which have received international recognition for outstanding design, capability and performance in the markets in which they’ve been released.

RRP XL2420T: $499.00
