BenQ Showcases High Definition Products at Computex Taipei 2006

TAIPEI, TAIWAN, 5, June 2006 – BenQ today showcases an array of innovative products embedded with the latest technologies at Computex Taipei 2006 (Taipei World Trade Center, Hall 2, Stand E119).

Under the theme of “Exploring Hi-Def Enjoyment,” BenQ will provide a glimpse into the high definition lifestyle of today. BenQ's “hi-def” product offerings include high definition LCD displays, LCD monitors, projectors as well as award-winning design-led Joybooks, storage drives, digital camera, scanners, MFP and media.

Hero Product Highlights:

LCD Display – BenQ will showcase its full range of LCD displays including the WXGA and Full HD line. While featuring native HD resolution, the BenQ PH4281 features outstanding video performance and high quality audio with a built-in audio amplifier and innovative speaker design to create imaging and create excellent bass.

LCD Monitor- BenQ unveils the BenQ FP241W, the world's first LCD monitor built for high-definition. Its built-in HDMI interface not only enables 5Gbps data transfers, but eliminates the need for signal conversions enabling spectacular video quality. BenQ's LCD monitor lineup features technologies such as HD ready support, BFI technology and luminance compensation function aimed at professionals and multimedia enthusiasts.

Digital Projectors – BenQ showcases its impressive projector lineup with the W10000, a home theater projector designed to meet the demands of high-end home theater users. The projector offers 1080p High Definition image, super high contrast ratio and comes equipped with BenQ’s proprietary "Senseye" digital-enhancement technology.

Mobile Phones: BenQ continues unveiling design award winning mobile phones that “keep exploring.” The BenQ EF71 offers music pleasure style without compromises while the EF81 is a sleek UMTS multimedia phone is clad in an ultra-thin magnesium clamshell.

Storage – BenQ showcases its extensive storage product portfolio including its first “Trio” writer that encompasses Blue-ray Disc, DVD and CD format support.

Joybooks- BenQ announces an array of feature-packed Joybooks that features premium quality displays, embedded Digital TV functions and enhanced speaker design, providing users with the utmost in visual enjoyment.

Digital Cameras- BenQ showcases the world's slimmest 6-megapixel camera as well as a new line up of 6 high-performance digital cameras in four new series: Classic, Elegance, Luxury and Performance.

Media- BenQ introduces its first Blu-Ray disc with 25GB of storage space, about 5.3 times that of a DVD. Blue-Ray discs provide high-quality recording media for high-definition video and large data storage capacities.

Multifunction Printer – BenQ introduces the CM 3700, a smart MPF that features a built-in memory car slot, Magic Photo Copy function for restoration of old faded photos, Bluetooth printing function as well as a film reprinting function which allows users to scan traditional 35mm film and print it out as a photo.
